Title: Where Are Ü Now
Date:
Synopsize of the video:
This song is based on how the artist Justin Bieber is asking for support from the person he has always supported. The main artist sings 'where are you?' throughout the song, the repetition of this shows the desperation the artist pleads to get help from the person he was there for.
If the video is conceptual, narrative or performance based?
It is a conceptional with parts of performance base music video. Even though Jack U which is the DJ is not shown, the main artist Justin Bieber is shown from the beginning of the video till the end.
Themes and Motifs:
The theme of this music video is colourful but it does have a dark side to it as well. This show the emotions, this is also shown through the facial expressions.
Representations of Stars/ artistes include authorize, role of performance and lip Synching
Lip syncing is used in this music video. The main artist Justin Bieber is presented as a male in the dark looking for help and support from someone who he would have wanted it from.
camera angles/ special effects/ mise en scene and editing techniques
It starts of with the camera going into a room full of pictures, it then zooms into one blank black frame, we then get introduced to the artist Justin Bieber with a mid shot in a dark room. We do get a variety of shots. It is kept very simple.
target audience and how they are encouraged to buy the record?
The target audience for this music video would be teenagers between 14-35 depending on the type of genre they like
ideas i could use/ subvert into my music video:
I really like the fact they don't use a lot of camera angles they keep it simple but really effective with the effects.

This is very short and a little light on detail Sila. Same feedback as the others, also consider the use of techniques such as speeding the video up, animations, so much you could talk about! You just need to structure and use the brief.
